FINALLY … A has an entire weekend off! We headed up north to visit Grandma S to celebrate (Grandpa J was away all weekend). Despite our WORST timing commute ever (4.5 hours instead of 3.5 hours due to traffic), we drove without stopping and the kids did great.
Before the heavy rains started on Saturday afternoon, the Big Kids went fishing. But first …

When the rain started, Grandma pulled out her supplies to make a stepping stone with each of the kids.
When the sun came out again, the boys went for a tractor ride.
There's just something about spending a few days up north. So quiet and peaceful.
And so good to see Grandma.
