I took the kiddos to the school festival tonight solo - I had fully prepared myself for this adventure … until BOTH JP and AA won a cake at the cake walk!
I remember this event from my grade school days - although, I do not remember the cake selections like tonight! The cakewalk was divided into two different sections (those under and those over 5th grade.) The winners were then given a ticket to enter the cake room for selection. AA won the second time we played (one out of fifteen numbers) and JP won the third time. (Thank goodness … as I'm sure we would have kept playing until they both won!). The kids grazed up and down the rows trying to find the perfect cake.
So now I had three kids AND two cakes to manage as we navigated through the busy crowds! I must have missed the wine walk!
