Disney World Bound!
We had no problems waking up and getting out of the house by 5 AM. We were all so excited!
Mr. A and A flew standby while the rest of us had purchased tickets - what a nice way to travel - we actually had assigned seats months before take off! We flew Sun Country out of the small terminal and just so happened to run into Brayden. I seriously cannot believe our kids had not previously figured out that Ms. E and I have been planning a joint vacation for six months. (And it took them many days to finally figure out that we were on vacation together- they kept asking, "Can Brayden go to our hotel?", "Can Brayden go to eat with us?" )
The flight there wasn't too bad (don't even ask about the flight home! - Baby J is a handful!)
Since we stayed on Disney property (Disney Beach and Yacht Club) we didn't need to worry about bringing carseats, finding our checked baggage or renting a car. It was pretty slick. Our "Magic Bands" had been synced and mailed to us about a month ago. These bracelets were passes to our motor coach transportation, keys to our hotel room, tickets to the theme parks, and loaded with special "Fast Passes" to get first in line on a few rides. After checking into the hotel, we received our pre-ordered groceries and rented a double stroller.
And then it was vacation time! Our hotel had an amazing waterpark - several pools, a beach with "fake" sand, BIG watersides (even AA went down), and a lazy river. (In fact, at the end of vacation JP stated that the waterside was his favorite part of vacation - sheesh! we could have saved so much money if we just stayed at our hotel!)
After cooling off in the pool … it was HOT … like nearly 100 degrees HOT … we walked across the bridge to Disney's Boardwalk. Four of the five kids crashed in the strollers, so the adults (and JP) had a very relaxing hour to order a drink and some food. It was too good to be true (and never happened again for the rest of our vacation!)
Finally, we took a bus to Downtown Disney. We found a street dance and boogied our dinner off.

I definitely know where my kids get their dance moves!
My dear friend N had given me the idea to purchase trinkets and toys ahead of time to avoid overspending while at Disney. Each day "Mickey" brought them something with a special note (Disney pajamas the first night, and autograph book the second, etc.) JP and AA were so excited- and they barely asked to buy anything despite expensive Disney propaganda EVERYWHERE. We did let them purchase their own Mickey Mouse ears the first night.
