We are trying to pack in every moment of family time during these 48 hours - the longest A has been home in over a month! We are keeping busy with walks, bike rides, errands, park trips ... and today we went to the local (free!) zoo. We just so happened to arrive during the bird exhibit feeding time. Lovely. The kids were mesmerized as the zookeeper threw frozen mice into the bird cages. And just how was I a Biology Major?
We are excited that A is over half way finished with his intense Delta training. I've never seen him work so hard! I am so thankful that I am still home on maternity leave while he is away so much. JP and AA are coping well without daddy- JP keeps a running calendar in his little head and is always able to spew out the number of days it will be until he can see daddy again.
