BLACK FRIDAY

Rather than exchanging Christmas gifts with our neighbors, we planned a fun day of activities.  The girls went to the local ballet showing of "The Polar Express"

and then we all journeyed downtown to watch Santa Claus be rescued from the top of Old City Hall by the Firetrucks (while hundreds froze outside, we watched from the skyway!)

Baby J and Landen were in awe of the FireTruck - I doubt they even noticed Santa!

Plan A was to spend the rest of the night at Chuck E. Cheese's for pizza and games.

But since none of us had ever been to this place on a Friday night (one could just see the thick germs in the air!), we quickly made up Plan B: We let the kids go crazy on rides for about 20 minutes, doused them in hand sanitizer, stopped for carry out at at Papa John's and had a playdate back home.  

Fun way to start out the Christmas season!
