10 YEARS!

A and I will be celebrating our TEN year Anniversary this week.  A few days ago, we showed the Big Kids our wedding album for the first time.  This prompted a series of adorable questions/comments including:

JP: "Was this the first time you kissed Momma?"

AA: "Momma, were you wearing glass slippers?"

JP: "Was this the first time you met Uncle J and Uncle M?"

AA: "I want to wear a dress just like you when I get married!"

JP: "I want to go to this church … there are a lot of pretty girls there"  (after looking through pictures of my bridesmaids … oh dear!)

AA: "Where was I in these pictures?"
Me: "God hadn't brought you to Earth yet"
AA: "But where was I?"
Me:  "You were just a speck of dust … err, a sparkle.  Yes, you were just a sparkle in Heaven."
AA: "But was I a sparkle in Heaven to watch you get married?"

We decided to "re-create" a few of our wedding photos TEN years later with our three kiddos … and amazing Aunt J agreed to help!

What a 10 years it's been … one 13 month Iraq deployment, two big moves, one stroke, four different airplane assignments … and three BEAUTIFUL children.  God is good.
