JP and AA did not find out that there was a baby growing in my tummy until the rest of the world did. And there was a reason for that! From the moment we shared the news with the now termed "Big Kids," they have anxiously awaited for today. "I'm going to be a big sister!", AA would tell everyone she met. "There's a baby brother growing in my mommy's tummy!," JP frequently broadcasted. The comments became less awkward the bigger my belly became. The talk of our new baby seemed to make its way into every conversation and for sure into every prayer at night. While fear and anxiety often filled my mind, AA and JP were truly ecstatic for their new baby brother.
And then there were three.
Grandpa A recorded the first few minutes of their visit - but these minutes will forever be recorded in my mind. Sort of like the first few minutes of when JP met AA. These are truly the best times of my life. The Big Kids hopped on my hospital bed and just stared. We (finally!) shared Baby J's name and we let them smell, kiss, touch, and hold this new little guy.
